QuestionWhen i connect hdmi cable to my laptop, the audio only can be heard from build speaker monitor. If i want to output the audio from my laptop (macbook pro) to external speakers, the audio cannot be control and it seems to show hdmi port.. can u help me?.

- Answer If you connect external speakers to the Macbook, all audio controls would be through the laptop, not the monitor. The monitor menu buttons/settings would control the built in speakers in the monitor only, and not any external speakers connected to the laptop.
