No. The point of these are to send the internet signal through the coax wires in a home instead of wording up Ethernet cables.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device is used to extend network to another room using coax cable that is prewired in your home. If you want wifi from your xfinity box you will need to buy a wireless router and attach it to your xfinity box. That is if your xfinity box doesnt have wireless capabilities already.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to have coax for this to work. Your modem needs to be MOCA compatible, and connected to the same coax feed that you want to connect this device to in another room. Example. Modem in bedroom 1. Coax for modem comes from splitter in attic. Coax in bedroom 2 connects to the same splitter in the attic. Connect the MOCA adapter in bedroom 2 to the coax outlet in that room, and you now have an ethernet jack in bedroom 2 that is connected back to the modem in bedroom 1 over the shared coax line. This device has nothing to do with your wifi. However, it would allow you to connect an access point in bedroom 2 with a wired backhaul for extra wireless coverage. You may need to configure your modem to work with MOCA if it is a modem/router combo.
