No, you have to connect the wall coax to a two way splitter and from the splitter connect your modem as well as your moca adapter. Once that’s done, connect your moca adapter to your router using an Ethernet cable and that will send internet through the coax in your home. Then, simply connect the other moca adapter to the wall coax in the room you’d like to receive the internet signal and from there connect any Ethernet capable device.

Then you run a coax cable from the MoCa adapter to an open coax port in the house. This sends the internet signal through the coax wires in your home. You take the other MoCa adapter and connect it to a coax port where you want to hook up another device and connect it to the MoCa adapter with an Ethernet cable and you have a wired connection to you modem. My cable Companies modem already has MoCa capabilities, so I use each of these near my TVs. I have the MoCa adapter connected to a 4 port Ethernet switch so I can connect the TV, AppleTV, TiVo & PlayStation to the 4 port hub and not have to worry about any lagging or buffering because it’s a direct connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The first Adapter is connected to an ethernet port from your router, then it is hooked up to your cable from there the second adapter is hooked up to your cable in another location and from there is connected by a ethernet port to your computer. This lets you have ethernet where you do not have it.
