The stock heatsink is a bit thin. I noticed 5-7 degree difference running the stock heatsink v the one integrated with the PC mobo it's in. PC heatsink being better. Could possibly make it much better. Doubt it would hurt it any.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't add another heatsink on top of one. Either leave it without a heatsink or or use either one of the heatsinks you have. Heatsink will always help, but even without it the drive will be fine. Keep in mind the PS5 will mostly be reading data from it when loading games. The system generally writes to the drive a lot less than a PC would and long constant writing is what heats up the drive the most.
