• A:Answer Photoshop elements 2020 should work similar to CS2, although you may have to get used to the slightly different user interface. PSE also offers Raw editing in a limited way. For higher end requirements i recommend Lightroom or ON1 .

• A:Answer I haven't loaded my 2020 version of Elements yet but in looking at my new "for Dummies" book, there is a little talk of a pencil tool for hard edges but warns that the term "brush" is still used for pencil options. Under "Default Brushes" I see a category called "Pen Pressure." So it looks like there are options to get pen like results but the terminology may be a hindrance in getting there. There are also an after the fact filter to convert an image to look like it was created by a pen & ink method. I hope this helps despite not being a yes/no answer.
