When we added a radon remediation unit in our basement we were told the best place to put a radon detector is the breathable living space in your home which is nearest to your basement or lowest ground level.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We highly suggest placing the initial monitor on the lowest story of the home (so the basement in your example). If you are curious about the radon levels on the main and second floor, they would need their own independent monitors.
