You can flip the buttons if you want, and the shape is pretty uniform so you can grip it with your left easily enough, but the extra custom buttons are on the right side and lined up for your thumb. If you are comfortable using the extra buttons with your pinky or ring finger instead, I'm sure it will work, but its not designed to be as comfortable that way.
