- Answer Just did installed in my 2007 Camry XLE and it does support the steering wheel controls which is quite nice to keep both hands on the steering wheel and to use the wheel controls.

Question$299 and free install is solid. I cant find whether or not I'll need to buy additional wire harnesses to hook it up to my steering wheel and satelite antenna?

- Answer It comes with a corded mic that can be mounted in your car. Otherwise, if your car already has mics, it can be tied into that system.

- Answer I practically asked the same question. I previously had a Pioneer installed in my Altima with steering wheel controls and microphone. I had an issue with my Pioneer system Best Buy stood behind their warranty (1 month and a few weeks dealing with no stereo at all) it came back with a scratch on the face so they replaced with equal value which I chose this Alpine. The installer assured me it would work with my previously installed microphone and steering wheel controls. It’s been a few weeks and only issue I have is that Sirius XM isn’t working (which I need to go back in to have them look at it. However, long story short the steering wheel controls and microphone works excellent. I’m definitely no professional so I would definitely ask them prior to purchasing it. As I know I did have to pay extra for the steering wheel controls, microphone and install kit with backup camera. But I’m confident you will be completely satisfied with the sound, clarity and ease of functionality with this Alpine. Good luck.

- Answer Yes, if you have an iPhone you can utilize Apple maps and if you have an android you can utilize good maps. The Waze app works with both.

- Answer It charges the phone as well, works great, I used Kenwood for years but Alpine is better clearity and sounds louder and better.

QuestionMy Jeep has no USB on front console. How does your phone connect to this unit? Does the USB cord from the back of the unit just hang there?

- Answer I had bestbuy installer run the cable to my center console armrest. They had a flush mount usb attachment i bought and had them use that. Now it looks like a factory mounted usb port clean and hidden.

QuestionIf my car doesn’t already have a large screen for the radio and it has just a standard radio, will Best Buy provide the dash part to fit the new screen, or will I have to purchase from another place and provide that part when Best Buy does the install?

- Answer Best Buy has a database of information that has all the parts needed for your specific car for the radio to be installed. There will be more parts than just a dash trim kit. There will be cables too, so expect $50-$100 in additional items needed at least.

QuestionAm I able to mirror my iphone to the dash for example since this head unit doesnt come with GPS Navigation. Can I connect my phone to the head unit via bluetooth and have apps on my phone appear on the dash?

- Answer Yes... and no. For Apple Car Play to work you need to plug your phone into a physical cable (there is a USB cable provided that you can plug any Apple USB cable into.) I use Android Auto but the concept is the same. You can't use every app, but Google Maps/ Apple Maps are compatible. YouTube, for example, won't appear as an option. Overall it is pretty fantastic. Bluetooth doesn't power Android Auto, and I'm pretty sure Apple Auto is the same, but the nice thing is your phone charges while you are using that mode.

- Answer Yes it will work, have the installer to wire the camera up to work while in motion, you have a camera button on the radio and you can actually use it to check on whatever is behind you while traveling.

- Answer Hello! Did you plug your phone into the Radio cord? I took two pics one with it plugged in and one without my phone plugged in. Hope this helps.

- Answer Yes, the 'general' install labor is free, but additional wires, adaptors and such are separate additional charge, before your install, they will estimate it for you before beginning any work.

- Answer Technically no. It doesn’t have built in Navi system, but it uses your mobile (cell phones) Navi system either with CarPlay or Android Auto. So if your phone isn’t connected via usb or you don’t have access to a smart phone it will not have Navi.
