• A:Answer Thanks for the note. You will want to use 32GB SD cards or USB thumb drives. 32GB or smaller is needed since they are formatted in FAT32 and that is what the frames will read. Anything larger is an extended format or will not work. Make sure you know what kind of slots the frame has before you purchase the memory (microSD or SD, micro USB or USB). Q: QuestionI would like to send pictures to my 95 year old aunt via my email and my iPhone. Is this possible with this product? Does she need to have an email account? She has access to WiFi at the facility she lives in, but does not have any computer capabilities.

• A:Answer You can send photos to this frame using the phone app or via email. Some WIFI at assisted living facilities can be difficult due to a VPN or web authorization (the frame does not have a web browser). Contact us at [email protected] and I can send you tutorials on how this should work.

Q: QuestionHow do you attach the frame stand? The instructions say to "screw in" the frame stand. However there are no screws. It's simply one piece of plastic. We tried inserting the piece into the frame and it fits, but it does not lock in place. Any tips?

• A:Answer It took me a while to figure it out. It’s like a key hole. You put the knob on the stand into the frame and turn it. Make sure you have a firm grip on the stand close to the frame. Then turn it slowly. It take some pressure to get it to turn. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionIs there a limit to how long the videos can be?

• A:Answer It depends on a few factors. Make sure your videos are in avi or mp4 format. Make sure the size of the video is scaled down to the size and resolution of the screen. Doing this can help with the size of the video which will make it easier for the frame to play. This will also let you put a longer video on the frame without using too much space and still allow the frame to play it. I have a few Jame Bond movies entirely uploadedd to the office frame I use, but I scaled them down to 640x480 and each of them only take up 180 MBs of space. So they do not look high def or even close, but they are still very watchable. For a 10 inch frame I would try to scale to 1024x768 at the largest, and I might go smaller.

• A:Answer Sharing passwords is not allowed. Each person who wants to connect must download the Smart Frame app to their phone and use their own login, pass, and then setup. The first person sets up differently than all other users. So be sure to read the directions carefully. In the Smart Frame app on the phone, you go into the Devices tab to setup. ONLY THE FIRST PERSON to setup the frame can setup under MY DEVICES. All other setup under Bound or Other devices. For more tips contact [email protected].

Q: QuestionDo the photos auto-orient to the frame being horizontal or vertical? Such as showing black sides where a portrait view photo is showing on a horizontal set up frame?

• A:Answer Yes. I recommend going into settings > album settings and be sure to turn full screen mode to OFF. This puts the frame into auto mode and lets it determine if the photo is landscape or protrait. If you have other questions just contact [email protected].

Q: Question2 questions: Can a video be inserted into the same feed (on the device) as pictures, meaning will it play and then go to pictures and vice versa? Can you upload thumb drive onto device and /or does it have to play from drive? Thank you

• A:Answer Thanks for the note. Video plays in a separate portal via the Video Tab on the main menu. Photos play in the slideshow. So those cannot be mixed. As for using USB thumb drives or SD cards this frame will play the photos right from the card. If you put video on a memory stick then use a separate drive to keep photos and videos separated. This frame will also let you copy your video or photos into the internal memory. For more tips contact [email protected].

• A:Answer You don't have to, but if photos are coming from the phone app then it's best if it's connected. Photos will stay on the server for 12-24 hours, so if you connect within that timeframe of when photos were sent they should come in. Photos can also be uploaded from a 32GB or smaller SD card or USB thumb drive. Use .jpg format for photos.

Q: QuestionDoes each picture frame come with its own individual e-mail address to send photos to, if you don't want to download/use the Aluratek app to send photos to the frame? I may buy multiple frames for some friends of mine so they can send/share photos.

• A:Answer Each frame gets one email address which the first person who sets up creates. All additional users setup differently so they can bind to the frame but not create an email since one was already created. Once the frame is setup, anyone bound to the frame (1st person or additional users) can use the Smart Frame app or they can send a few .jpg photos at a time via email. • A:Answer Yes. Go into Settings > WIFI Settings and there should be a toggle button at the top right that you will slide to the left. This will disable WIFI on the frame. The frame does not need WIFI after the initial setup. The frame can still show photos that were sent earlier to the Internal Storage, and the frame can also show photos from a 32GB or smaller SD card or USB thumb drive.

Q: QuestionIf I have a microSD card with backup from a Crosstour digital frame using Frameo, will I be able to use the Frameo app with the Aluratek (instead of Aluratek's app)?

• A:Answer No. You can only use the Aluratek app with our frames. We recommend 32GB or smaller SD card or USB drives with our frames. Photos should be in the standard .jpg format. The phone app will be given in the instructions since we do have 3 different phone apps for our WIFI frames depending on the model you get.

• A:Answer The frame has built-in memory so you don't have to have a memory card to use the frame. You can rotate the frame to show the picture in either portrait or landscape but the frame will not able to rotate on specific picture. You are able to rotate the picture on the frame directly and the frame will able to remember and show the correct orientation when it shows the picture next time.

Q: QuestionWill this work outside the US? Which countries this frame is certified to operate in for the Wi-Fi sharing feature?

• A:Answer Best to use this type of frame in U.S. or Canada. Depending on IP Protocol and Security the WIFI send and receive capabilities may be limited in other countries. We do not ship to other countries outside of U.S. or Canada so keep that in mind. You would need a U.S. or Canada address where a replacement could be sent if you had to ship the unit back.
