No. And if you're recording, you can only watch the channel being recorded. This product is not recommended. In addition to bugginess on recordings (I've had to recordings fail), there are sync problems on live TV with audio and video. This necessitates restarting the unit. This product badly needs a firmware/software update; an inquiry to the company concerning this has gone unanswered. ~
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to record one program while watching another by using the TV's tuner for the second channel. Just disconnect the DVR from the TV and plug in a 2nd antenna to the TV (or you could split the signal from a single antenna between the two devices using a splitter). Or, if the TV has multiple inputs, you may be able to switch inputs from whatever inputs you use from the DVR to antenna (you would still need a 2nd antenna or a splitter).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot record more than one program at a time. But you can watch one program while recording another. Simply use a coax splitter and run one cable to the DVR and the other cable to the TV. Then using the TV’s input menu, you can switch from the DVR input and the antenna input. On my smart TV, I use the ‘Home’ button on the remote and can go from the HDMI input where the DVR is plugged into and the Live TV input to watch a different OTA channel or I can watch a DVD or a Streaming Channel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My unit purchased from BestBuy in September 2019 lets me record and watch another channel but depends on the signal strngth. Some channels load quickly and some don't. The box says that you can record one channel and watch another channel. It depends on signal strngth perhaps. I'm satisfied with this product. I'm using a 128 GB 3.0 USB thumb drive for recording and it was all good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This has a single tuner so it can record only 1 program at a time.

Answered 3 years ago by Elmirapete It says that indeed but it's limited to channels within the parent channel, i.e. CH2, CH2.1...2.6. You can't watch channel 5, as an example while recording CH2.x The only other way to watch CH5 is to change the TV's input to TV, assuming youre using only an OTA. Meanwhile, the PVR is recording whatever channel it is tuned to. My PVR is connected to the TV via HDMI, which is it's own input; toggle between the 2, no problem.
