This box takes the signal from a digital antenna and converts it to high definition if you use an HDMI cable. If not it is still a digital signal. The box searches for over the air (OTA) channels and permits you change channels and record via am USB drive

Please try again later.The box is used to receive free air antenna stations to program and record on usb stick to watch at a later time for me, I have a Samsung big screen that has tv-plus so I do not use the box for anything else. If you think it works as a cable converter such as xfinity it does not.
