- Answer Mine turns itself off periodically, not sure why (might happen 3 times a day, or not for 4 weeks). I unplug and replug it in and it reboots.

- Answer It will play .mp3 and .wav. Other audio formats may or may not work. Apple's .aac format is proprietary so that will most likely not work.

- Answer yes, I get 2.1-2.5 (CBS), 5.1-5.4 (NBC), 7.1-7.3 (ABC) 32.1-32.? (Fox -more than I remember, maybe 32.7). Plus PBS,(5 substations) local stations and some superstations, like WGN (which is also UPN 9.1-9.5). Antenna TV, Me TV - all the old fogey reruns, The Griot, Root, various ethnic, and many I have no interest in, like HSN.

- Answer Definitely not made to snap in half. We've had ours for years with no issues. They are thin so you have to be gentle. You can order a new one from Aluratek by contacting their support line at [email protected].

- Answer I don't think so. Maybe if you can send your TV signal to the Coax Input on the Aluratek and then send the RCA Outputs to your VCR. But in this case the TV antenna must be connected to the TV and not the Aluratek. You can always try. The box comes with a 15-day return warranty.

- Answer It's like they want you to buy a new tv, right? My first one lasted about 3 years, but with quirks - the "best" trick being turning itself off. I would unplug and replug and it would reboot. Eventually I had to replace it. I chose a different brand available on a major e-retailer. That one lasted less than a year. I bought another Aluratek, that one _seemed_ to work the same, with the same quirks, but had a new one: while trying to remove unwatched stations from the rota on the options, it began scrolling the image in the submenu, and never stopped, ever, despite unplugging from both tv and power. If I could find a better option (the original Insignia brand converter box purchased in 2009 lasted about 12 years!) I would buy it.

- Answer The box has the search capability for this but I think you have to buy an AM/FM tuner or other type of device that then gets connected to the converter for this to work. I don't think the converter box can do it on its own.

QuestionWhat happens if I use my new USB flash drive to record TV shows on the converter box without formatting first?

- Answer Page 15 of the manual says the USB flash drive for recording Format is to be FAT32. It may work ok if it came that way but some devices recommend formatting it in the device it’s used in for best results. The capacity seems to be at least 256gb according to several reviews. 128gb SanDisk works in mine.

- Answer If that should happen then yes the recording would just be blank. The signal comes from the antenna that you connect to the Aluratek. If the antenna is of good quality and it is connected correctly to the ADTB01F then there is very little chance that this would happen. Maybe severe weather or power interruption.

- Answer ADTB01F supports ATSC1.0. It does not support ATSC3.0 signals.

- Answer So the indoor antenna should go into the RF-in on the Aluratek box, then use a COAX cable and connect to the Aluratek RF-out to your TV's COAX in. This is likely your only option if your TV does not have the RCA input or HDMI. Then you set your TV to that COAX in and then use the Aluratek remote to control the TV box and to run your channel search. If this does not work then you may need a different kind of system.
