• Yes, as long as you connect the camera to the laptop via USB.

• It can but you have to plug directly into the computer. No camera will work on just a monitor. I plug mine in via a usb hub that is plugged directly into the laptop itself

• Yes to both. I have it plugged in on my Laptop in one the USB outlets on the left of my keyboard

• Yes. I have my laptop connected to a 27" Dell via the HDMI and the webcam connected to the laptop via USB.

• I had to plug into the laptop via usb. I put it on a tripod. It doesn’t snap into a monitor.
