• There is an attachment that you can order from Amana's website. I believe it's about $20. I'm using a Downy Ball that I picked up at the grocery store and I haven't had an issue.

• if the machine does not have a fabric softner dispenser get yourself a DOWNEY BALL. . You simply fill it before you start the machine and toss in after you load the laundry and start the machine!

• Yes you can. I bought one. It goes in the center agitator. But either from Whirlpool’s website or Amazon, as Best Buy does not carry it.

• Rita I've had good results with adding Softner at beginning with detergent. I don't take time to stop washer after cycling. Just my 2 cents.

• What I do is I add the fabric softener to my detergent ahead of any wash. I have my tide and an extra Empty bottle Of tied and I split the fabric softener and detergent between the 2 bottles shake and done

• Sure, downy sell a little round container that you fill with softner . Just toss in with laundry. You can get one by the laundry detergent isle.
