This device is only compatible with select Echo Show device with Fire TV functionality as well as Fire Stick and Fire Cube devices. • A:Answer Hi RedRacer, Yes, you can pair two remotes to your Fire TV Stick. After pairing the first remote, to pair a second remote, go to: Settings, and then select Controllers and Bluetooth Devices. Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes, and then select Add New Remote. Press and hold the Home button on the remote for 10 seconds. The device then searches for the remote. After the remote is discovered, select it from the list of discovered devices using an already paired remote or controller. You can also utilize your phone as a remote for the TV your Fire TV Stick is plugged into by downloading the Fire TV app on your mobile device! Hope that helps!

• A:Answer No. The remote talks to a TARGET. And the 'smartness' is in the target. If the TV is not smart and already has fireTV built in, the remote is talking to nothing. It may turn the TV on or off and change volume or channels if its the right brand. But that's it.
