Can Alexa record conversations in the house? null

Perhaps, but I don't think I discuss much anyone would find interesting. The benefit to me for easy access to music and information far out ways the risk that a Amazon employee may hear me watching tv. If the thought bothers you, perhaps you may want to not use cell phones, tablets, or computers because someone may record you on those too.

It only records immediate words after the wake word "Alexa". There is a time limit, though I don't know how how long it is. It is very short as sometimes I have to wake it again if I don't get my query/ command right.

While there is no “Skill” for that it is always possible someone out there can hack in. Personally I don’t feel my conversations would be of any interest to anyone else.
