You just need to share the same Amazon username and password to best utilize the echo. The Alexa and Echo app are the same thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you each create your own account and will need to set up the Echo device on each of your accounts. When using your Echo device you can switch between accounts by telling the Echo to 'switch accounts' and it will announce who's account it's using at the time. Alexa is the 'wake up' word by default of the Echo device, so bluntly they are not different but rather the same. Hope that makes sense.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the Alexa app password does not have to be the same. The Alexa app is used more to set devices up with your amazon device while the echo dot is more for functionality of the echo itself. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Pretty sure we use the same password and the app is the same app. We had echo first, and when we bought the dot we just connected them to the same account. There a drop down in the app which allows you to select which device you want to look at or adjust.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My wife & I use the same Amazon Prime account, we can share the shopping list, to do list, free shipping etc. You can setup more than one account. We have not tried the Echo app but it appears to be “learn commands” app.
