Can Alexa change tv channels?? null

I connected Alexa to Dish Network. Works great. Changing channels directly on a tv (not via Dish) depends on the tv brand etc.

so, yes, Alexa can change the channel, turn stuff on, etc.. but, the trick is you have to program that particular TV in your Alexa app and it has to find that unit or support that unit.. if it's an older TV or unit.. most likely won't work..

It depends on your tv or cable provider. My Verizon does allow me to change channels and even pause and play. I also use it with my Roku as well.
