• A:Answer Correcting an earlier answer, the sub works with single Echo units and with a stereo pair in groups. For instance, I just played a Beatles album in the everywhere group and the sub/stereo pair worked properly. I believe this did not work when the sub was first released, but Amazon quickly fixed the issue.

Q: QuestionDoes this only work with AMAZON products? Meaning, I have a BOSE 700 Sound Bar with ALEXA built into to it. Will this Echo Subwoofer work with the Bose 700 Sound Bar since it has ALEXA built into it? Or will I have to invest into the Bose 500 or 700 subs?

• A:Answer Hi Rickey, Yes, this is only meant to pair with the Echo Products. 3rd party products such as Bose, although have Alexa built in, are not a a fully functioning Alexa, and they require you to keep the system within their family of products, as do ours. Hope that helps.

Echo Sub must be paired with a compatible Echo device which includes: Echo Studio, Echo Dot 4th Gen and 3rd Gen, Echo 4th Gen, 3rd Gen, and 2nd Gen, Echo Show 15, Echo Show 10 3rd Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, Echo Show 8 2nd Gen and 1st Gen, Echo Show 5 2nd Gen and 1st Gen, and Echo Plus 2nd Gen. Currently, stereo pairing, speaker groups, and multi-room music support music playback, Audible, and long-form audio Skills over your wireless network. They do not support Bluetooth or 3.5mm AUX in. For a TV/home theater option, set up a home theater. Some Echo devices support different stereo and subwoofer configurations. I hope this information helps, have a great day!

• A:Answer You can connect any Amazon echo products with the sub. You will do this through the Alexa app with + sign and combine speaker option or create a theater sound if using a fire tv or stick. Note: any amazon speaker that is not compatible will not be highlighted in the available speakers.

If you take the echo sub top off it reveals a Micro usb connection so this is where i thought the firmware could be updated from

Q: QuestionI have an Echo Studio which has Bluetooth and a line input. I know this subwoofer doesnt work with Bluetooth. Do I have to disconnect the sub each time I use the Echo Studio with Bluetooth or line input? Or does the subwoofer disconnect automatically?
