Not to turn it on or anything, but we just cancelled our sub, it refunded the last payment, then the next time it connected to the internet all of my kid's apps were gone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This pad technically can be used without a subscription but there's not much available without the subscription. It was intentionally designed to be useless unless you pay money.

There is no GPS on this device. Its essentially a Kindle device with a GUI of kids stuff. All of which you can remove and install Google Play and turn into a more useful device after your free membership.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After the 2 years that was covered upon initially buying it they do charge you monthly. If you don't renew it erases all the apps and doesn't seem to do much of anything. They weren't trying to charge us $2.99 a month either like it said so we cancelled.

Some great things to know about the tablet: The tablet does come with a kids proof case that helps to protect the tablet. But don't worry if it breaks! The Kids Tablet comes with a 2-year worry-free guarantee: if it breaks, return it and we'll replace it for free. The Kids Tablets also come with 1 year of Amazon Kids+ (FreeTime Unlimited) gives your kids access to over 20,000 apps, games, books, videos, audiobooks, and educational content from PBS Kids, Nickelodeon, Disney, and more. Your subscription will then automatically renew every month starting at just $2.99 per month plus applicable tax. You may cancel at any time by visiting the Amazon Parent Dashboard or contacting Customer Service. I hope that helps! Have a great day!
