• It doesn't replace the nook. But I think you can install the nook app on it and read your nook books. However, you can't transfer your nook books to this tablet.

• Hello Butchie, the Nook app is not currently available on the Amazon Fire Tablets. Amazon uses the Amazon Kindle Store to get books. You would have to set up a new Amazon account and download your books via the Amazon Kindle Store. Have a great day!

• They have Amazon audio books or Amazon kindle you can get a subscription for. It’s like a regular tablet you can download apps on. So you can download other book subscriptions as well
