No, you cannot download Google Play app on this tablet according to the Gek Squad employees at my local Best Buy. To download the “free” Trend Micro Mobile Security antivirus security (free for 3 months as advertised when I bought the tablet) as the directions on downloading and installing instruct you to download Google Play app. I tried thru the Amazon play app, and it is incompatible, or so the Geek Squad told me. I took it personally into the store to ask because I can’t get it downloaded. It is incompatible also with the web root service I have with the Geek Squad and was told that I don’t really need either as this tablet “isn’t really considered a computer.” So why does it say on the Best Buy online website you 3 mo. of free Trend Micro Mobile Security? Two people in the Geek Squad area told me this when I took it into the store for help. I think they just really didn’t care, or else it was false advertising.

There are tons of great apps available including popular games like Minecraft, Roblox and Amazon's Luna game streaming service. Additionally, productivity apps like Microsoft 365 are available.
