“Why do I have to put credit card info on my child's tablet I'm so upset right now I could cry I'm trying to set up my daughter's tablet that I just bought from Amazon and the fire when you register won't let you going for there without a credit card number I don't want to put a number on my childs tablet matter fact I don't even have a credit card so now she can't use it?”

I purchased a gift card and was able to use that info as a credit card

I have my daughters set up to where she can't buy anything. For my personal kindle I use Amazon gift cards so my card isn't charged, but one must be kept on file.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You are able to bypass that, there is no need for a credit card because children aren't allowed to make purchases because of their age. My daughter had same issue when setting up tablet for her daughter and was able to skip that step.
