Questioni understand that the recast has 4 tuners in it an if you watch tv you loose 1 of the tuners but what if you were to split the antenna an run one to the recast an one to the tv would you still be able to use all four tuners even though you are watching tv

- Answer The Recast unit only has 4 tuners which allow simultaneous recording or watching TV channels. I used a simple coax TV splitter in front of the Recast unit and ran coax to each TV set. If the TV set is watching on the coax cable it does not use any Recast tuner. If signal strength is an issue use a RF amplifier (10-20 db) before the splitter to overcome the signal loss through the splitter. Each of my TVs also has a Fire TV 4K Stick to watch recorded shows.

- Answer No Fees. The fire tv recast connects to an indoor or outdoor antenna and can record any channels that the antenna picks up. It can not record anything else. The fire tv recast then uses the WIFI in your house to recast the channels picked up by the antenna to your firestick or cube. Hope this helps.

QuestionMy Recast seems to refuse to record OTA programs that also appear on Amazon pay to view channels. Is this correct? If so, Amazon should mention this in the specs. It won't record Colbert's Late Night in CBS . Amazon sells CBS All Access.
