• Hi, Is not possible to download movies via the Firestick since this is only meant to be used for streaming. Also, most laptops HDMI only support output and you need an HDMI Input.

• You would need a TV tuner or an HDMI in for your laptop to use it. It may work but I doubt you can download the movies to your laptop.

• No, the HDMI port is only used to output signal multimedia, you can damage your Fire TV doing this

• No. The HDMI port on your laptop is for output to a video source like your TV not input. Amazon Fire TV stick only streams movies and doesn't download unless a third party app is used.

• I think youre missing the point of the Fire TV stick, It is more like a smart TV that works when you plugg it into your TV's HDMI port, the user interface is an amazon navigation system where you can stream movies, series, music, and apps from amazon prime. There is a way to do what you expect but the fire stick has only 6 GB which of those only like 4.5 GB are free thats about the size of an HD movie. So ...
