“sleep mode my new amazon fire stick worked when i first tried it and i think i hit the sleep mode and now its not working. How do i get it out of sleep mode or how long is it in sleep mode?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you press the Home button, it should get out of sleep mode, unless the you are using the TV's USB port to power the stick. So if the TV went to sleep, then the stick may not be getting any power. The Sleep timer can be changed in Settings.

If the remote is not synced then un plug from wall and let it reload then hold down the home button on remote until it says new remote synced. Usually if you hit the circle on the middle of the remote it will come back off the sleep mode. You know your in that mode because several screen savers come up of water falls and green valleys and such. If your stick freezes then unplug from the wall and it will restart. You can also restart from the stick by going to settings and across to the system down to restart fire stick. It also has a reset to factory settings as well in case you want to just erase everything that you have put on to start again. You also go there and update your stick to every now and then.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.press the center round button and it should come out of sleep. Most keys on the remote will wake it from sleep. If you can't get it to wake that way you can unplug and replug the USB power and it should reboot.
