You have to use HDMI - it is the only connection on these. You also have to use an Amazon account - it registers your stick to the account and allows access to any apps you already own that are compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless there is a hdmi to coaxial (or whatever connection you have) cord that you can use I don't believe you will be able to connect it. You can download the apps for free , I have found some of them don't work unless you still have cable or pay a monthly fee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot connect the Fire stick to TV's without a HDMI cable and it depends on the app but most of them require you to subscribe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure if they have any connectors to connect to older tvs without HDMI, I would check your local electronics store. As far as logging onto apps- yes. The entire system is based on your favorite apps such as Netflix, vudu, and all the others including Amazon prime. Without accounts (paying apps) you will not have any use for the firestick. The only thing you would want to look into is "Kodi". You need to YouTube how to download it and what it is. That alone is well worth the firestick, and is the sole reason I bought and use mine. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just get a newer tv because, Converters do exist but by holding on to your old TV your missing out on the great picture quality your going to get from this stick up to 4K ! Also yes you need have a Amazon account but don't worry it's free, you do need to register your Credit card number in even though it's free.
