So I have both. The kindle basic 2022 6 inch screen and the kindle paperwhite 6.8 inch screen. The biggest differences are the paperwhite’s warm/yellow light feature and the fact it’s waterproof. And it’s a little heavier. At night I read with my paperwhite. For carrying around and reading on the go I keep my kindle basic in my purse. Just feels better in my hand, it’s lighter. The display is just a little wider and it's the tiniest bit faster. I love my signature edition because I really wanted the agave green version, but I'd recommend the non-signature edition one any day. Works just as well!
