• It does have special offers when you press the button on the bottom. However if you hold the button for 7 seconds it gives you the option to turn the screen blank instead of a special offer. The image of the special offer on the screen does not consume any battery life.

• You get suggested titles and that's it. I'm 3 books in and have yet to see a ad.

• Yes. On mine the ads are on-screen when I open it. Not a big deal.
