• Nope, unfortunately there isn't an audiobook function on the kindle itself. Amazon has created a Whispersync feature which means you can listen to the audiobook from an Audible app (not on the kindle) and it will update with the ebook depending on what part you are at. For example, you read chapter 1 on the kindle, when you go to Audible, it will start playing at chapter 2 and if you stop listening, your ebook will automatically be updated to whatever page you stopped listening at. However, you do have to pay a few dollars extra to get the audiobook version of the ebook and it only works with books from Audible since it is also owned by Amazon.

• If you own a Kindle book that supports Whispersync for Voice, you can purchase the audio companion book. Also there are many devices in the Kindle family that support Audible. This is Amazon's version of audio books.
