What does ad supported mean? null

At the bottom of menu screen and when you wake up the kindle you’ll see “offered” books and stuff… quite annoying really..

Hello, Alice. Ad supported would mean that on the lock screen of this device, there would be ads and special offers. You can tap on an advertisement to see more details. Connect your device to Wi-Fi to receive the latest offers. If you wish to remove special offers from your Kindle, follow these steps: 1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices. 2. Select Devices, and then select your device. 3. Under Special Offers, click Remove offers. A pop-up window then displays the price to remove special offers. Select End Offers and Pay the Fee to proceed. Have a great day!
