yes, this does ... amazon sells it separate BUT you can attach it to your computer and easily charge it.

The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition does not require a specific charging dock, but here are the options: A single charge lasts up to ten weeks, however battery life may vary depending on use. Utilizing Audible audiobooks and streaming over Bluetooth will always reduce battery life. This device fully charges in approximately 5 hours from a computer via USB cable which is included in the box; fully charges in less than 2.5 hours with a 9W USB power adapter; fully charges in less than 3.5 hours with any compatible 10W Qi wireless charging pad (sold separately). Best Buy does carry 10W Qi Wireless charging pads so you can add to your purchase. Hope that helps!
