A:Answer The Ryzen 5 2400G is more like the i7 8700, but presumably the motherboard you have is for the intel cpu chipsets and you would want to get a motherboard that is compatable with amd cpu chipsets like the MSI Pro Carbon X470 amd motherboard. But before you go out buying a board i would do some research and look up compatability, especially look at pros and cons such as intel cpu chipsets may have some features that amd chipsets dont, this is a pro con situation cause it goes both ways such as an amd cpu may have overclocking capabilities while intel may have higher clockspeeds pre-configured, but the newer amd chipsets have those clockspeed configurations unlocked so you can configure them to what you are comfortable with. The other thing to look at is pricing, amd cpu parts are very affordable, compared to intel, but intel cpu parts are very simplified, and are what lots of first time pc builders will go with, amd is for more of gamer enthusiast people. Weigh your options very carfully and Do Your Research First!
