  • QuestionHow long will this unit power a modern cpap machine?

    Asked by BreezyBre1982.

    • Answer Look at your device and find the power requirement for that device, usually stated in Watts. Let's assume it is 50 watts, the Solix 522 is rated for 299WattHours, so the 522 will power the cpap machine for less than 6 hours. The calculation is (Solix Wh) / (device W) or 299Wh / 50 = 5.98hours. Note that if the cpap periodically uses more than the 50 watts, the runtime is further reduced.

  • QuestionCan I conect a refrigerator?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Yes, for the most part. Before using a portable power station to run a refrigerator, various aspects must be considered, including the size and wattage rating of the refrigerator, as well as the capacity of the portable power station itself. The size of the refrigerator is the most significant consideration. A large refrigerator consumes a lot of energy and may be unable to be powered by a tiny, portable power station. A compact refrigerator, on the other hand, can be easily powered by a small and portable power station. The energy used by a refrigerator varies based on the compressor and the system to which it is attached. A standard refrigerator consumes 1-2 kWh/day. The majority of electricity is consumed during startup and when the compressor is operating. Look at the rating figures to establish your refrigerator's daily energy usage, and ensure that your power station has sufficient capacity to handle it. It can continue to deliver power to the refrigerator as long as the peak power of your mobile power station is larger than the starting power of the refrigerator and the output power of the power station is greater than the continuous power of the refrigerator.

    Asked by SgtDad.

    • Answer Thanks for the answers so far, my question was if charging from a solar panel, there is not an XT60 port on the unit, which is the Anker/industry Standard. I have discovered that an adapter is required, XT60 to DC7909 8mm plug is needed.

  • QuestionCan you insert a plug with a ground in output?

    Asked by Juggler.

    • Answer Yes, but there is no real ground. The rounded, rectangular hole between the outlets allows enough room for a ground pin, but there is no electrical connection in there.

  • QuestionCan I use it like a UPS backup, i.e. having it plugged in to the AC outlet and powering the computers and screens at the same time?

    Asked by Sanjose.

    • Answer All our power stations can be used as Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), but it depends on the charging and discharging status. When the output power is less than the input power, it's absolutely a UPS, but if the output power exceeds the input power, then it will also draw the power from the PowerHouse. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): To use the UPS function, connect Power Station to the wall outlet with the AC charging cable, press the button, and connect your devices via the AC output ports. For power station model 511/521/531/533/534/535/545/555, the mains power can be automatically switched to the battery power and there is no transfer time. For power station model 757 and 767, the mains power can be automatically switched to the battery power and the transfer time is around 20ms (millisecond). Asked by Queso.

    • Answer Both. The 522 comes with an AC power adapter you can use to recharge it. It can also be charged from either of the USB-C ports. You would need to purchase a solar panel if you want to charge the 522 that way.
