My apologies for the late response. The 4MAX is a longer range antenna. Purchasing the 2MAX over the 4MAX is greatly determined by where you live and where the towers are located. If you have stations that are within 70 miles of your location, I would recommend the 4MAX, if you have stations within 60 miles, I would recommend the 2MAX. You can see the number of stations and where the towers are located by clicking on this link and entering your zip code. https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as I know, based on the reviews that I have read, the only difference is the range. The 2max works great and I'm receiving 36 clear channels all for free.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Think of the 4max as two 2maxes, so it's larger. My stations are 20 or more miles away, and the 2max wa a big improvement over inside antennas. Rather than mount it in the attic (difficult access), I installed it on a 15' mast attached to the back of my house. I am quite satisfied with my purchase.
