• NexGen uses the station’s existing TV frequency and RF channel, so any antenna able to receive those signals prior to conversion will work. A TV must be capable or a set top box will be necessary (much like the digital conversion boxes from years ago). Stations are required to simulcast in both formats for 5 years once switched so there’s no rush on getting a capable TV or searching for a converter.
