This unit comes with it's own mounting mast. Just bolt down to one of your ceiling joists.

It can be bolted to any flat surface that can take the lag bolts. The materials of your roof are an important factor to consider when considering an attic mount. If you have a metal roof, a tile roof, a tile roof, a roof with solar panels, or a radiant barrier/tech shield in the attic, an attic install may not be ideal.
