QuestionI lost the USB cord that was provided with the monitor. I purchased a new cord off Amazon and also stopped in a Best Buy store. Both did not work. Customer service at AOC was not helpful. How do I go about getting a new correct cord for this monitor?

- Answer I have the same problem! After trying several USB to USB from Amazon, I took the AOC monitor to a Best Buy store and the guy that helped me tried several cables he thoDavidught should work and plugged them into two different laptops. No luck. he said my monitor must be bad, so I bought a new monitor. By the time I got home, I realized I should just try the cable from the new one. It worked, as I suspected. I am searching for another cable so I can return the machine. Anyone??

QuestionDoes this monitor require any software to be installed on the pc? Also what type of usb is required ? Type A or Type C?

- Answer I set it up quickly on my heavily locked down work Windows laptop and worked great on wife work surface. No software or admin involvement needed. She LOVES this extra screen for mobile office working.

- Answer Yes! This monitor will work with a Microsoft Surface. That is what im running mine from. If you travel a lot and like the convenience of duel screens, this is a good affordable solution. The picture quality is not 1080p but to edit and check emails its nice. It is powered off the USB so no extra power source is required. I would add a 4 port USB hub because you will use up your one and only USB port on your Surface for this screen. Hope this helps.

- Answer This monitor does not require software to be downloaded. The screen is powered by a USB cord that you plug into your laptop, and then access the display settings to adjust the screen.

- Answer It should work with either USB 2.0 or 3.0, but sometimes the optional second USB cable might be needed for extra power. It should be plug n play. If it doesn't work, you will need to download and install the Displaylink driver on the internet.

- Answer The screen is good for work. I am sure it would work fine but it compares to an older monitor so low resolution. I like it and my brother bought one after and says he likes it for work. Good thing is best buy return policy. If you dont like it then take it back. Love Best Buy

- Answer You’ll need to download the display link driver first. Google “display link Mac driver AOC usb monitor” and it should point you in the right direction. The software in the box is garbage. You pretty much need manual drivers every time. Hope that helps.
