QuestionI just moved and the movers lost the power adapter for my AOC monitor of this style\model. I bought a replacement that should be for this monitor. I plugged the adapter in, the power 'button\membrane' does not turn on. Troubleshooting advice??

- Answer The button is not on the face of the power membrane, but is slightly beneath and back toward the back of the schreen. Put your finger on the edge and work back you will feel it. My older AOC has it on the membrane.

QuestionJust set up AOC 12779 HV as 3rd screen. My computer recognized it, downloaded the drivers, and the power button doesn't work. No light and black screen. I switched the power supply from my other AOC and no change. New power didn't work on existing mon.

- Answer There are no mounting holes on the back of the monitor. I don't see how you could mount it on the wall unless you had a customized bracket that would go where the stand goes.

QuestionI brought this monitor yesterday. I tried to use the contained cable (HDMI) to connect either my pc (brought 2018) and my macbook air. However, the power light of the monitor was white, but there was no image showed up in both pc and mac!!

- Answer Have you tried changing the source on the monitor to make sure it is trying to read the HDMI input? I have had to do this on other monitors I purchased.

- Answer I had the same problem. I was able to order a replacement from Amazon. Just do a search for the power cable for the model of monitor.

QuestionWhy does it have a headphone jack? If there are no speakers or audio ports/jacks, it should therefore not be able to produce any sound...correct?

- Answer The monitor does produce sound and shows up as a sound device under your sound options. While it does not have speakers, you can select the monitor as your source and plug in headphones/earbuds or speakers if you're doing a presentation on a desktop or if your computer headphone jack is otherwise occupied. It is just a nice, additional feature.
