This should be more than adequate. I have my whole A/V system on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately the BN650M1 isn't really designed to be connected with a generator but this would depend on the type of generator you have. If it produces too dirty power there is a chance that it will just cause the UPS to be on battery the entire time the generator is running. Sometimes dropping the sensitivity to low can help though. If the generator produces relatively clean power then this unit will provide power during the small power blimp when the generator changes over. Usually with generators we at least recommend purchasing one of our SmartUPS units. Please do not hesitate to contact APCbySchneider sales team if you need further assistance. Basically, your AC power charges the Battery, then an Inverter circuit produces clean AC power from the Battery to your PC or TV. When power to the unit goes out, it quits charging, of course, but the battery still has charge and produces AC to keep everything running. All you'll notice is a beep or two and message indicating power is out. I got the unit to protect a DVR, because losing power multiple times, even for a second or so, can crash the unit and lose the recordings. Anyhow, this will work fine for you. Just make sure you connect the TV to the Battery connections, not just the Filtered connections.
