The UPS software estimates that it would power my computer (consuming 82 watts) for about 28 minutes. Based on that, it should be able to power a 60-watt light for a maximum of around 38 minutes. It does not need to be plugged in to function as a portable power source - after all, it's made to provide power when the electricity goes out.

If you were to leave the light turned on the entire time the UPS would provide around 45 minutes of runtime till the battery runs out. We do recommend that you leave the unit plugged into the wall to keep it charged in the event of a power outage. It will shorten the battery life of the UPS is completely discharged and recharged again.
