This UPS provides 120v AC power for a period of time when the electric power goes out. Since your original backup was only 2 9v batteries I would say there is enough battery power to lower your chair at least once

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine does not. As far as I can see the back up just keeps the controls lit. It is ironic because when the power goes out and the chair is stuck, who needs the controls. I hope yours is better. Mine is a WM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this should provide up to 30 minutes of power during an outage without any problem. That should give you sufficient time to get out of the chair without the power coming back on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The APC puts out 110v A/C. Your batteries are 9v DC. If your batteries are in series you would need to buy a converter to transform the 110v AC to 18v DC. If your batteries are in parallel, then you would need a 110v A/C to 9V DC converter. You would also need to build connectors to wire everything together. I would advice getting an electrician who specializes in doing this to perform this work so as to prevent a fire hazard.
