Usually, when the battery BACK-UPS turns itself off or trips a breaker, it is due to what is known as a 'line fault'. This means that the power line is either poorly wired, or not grounded appropriately. It may be older wiring in the home. A GFI (ground fault indicator) will usually indicate this issue - any electrician should be able to tell if you lines are properly installed and up to code. Older homes built before current code experience this more commonly, but do-it-yourself wiring or shoddy workmanship can also be to blame. Any creatures that may be chewing exposed wires or damages to wiring through other means can cause this as well.

This unit would support 255 watts of equipment connected to it. If it is over that I would move the equipment to another outlet. If you are still running into issues with the unit please do not hesitate to reach out to an APCbySchneider support team. We offer email and chat services through our support site.
