The short answer is yes however, this assumes that your security cams are battery powered and all of your network equipment is on the UPS. And, depending on the amount of equipment that is attached to the UPS and their power draw, the UPS will operate for a finite amount of time and shut down after the UPS batteries are depleted. These are really designed to give you, in a power outage, the time and ability, to shut down your computer systems attached. If, having a thief shut down your main breaker is a concern, the cheapest and, most effective means to give you some piece of mind, would to put a decent padlock on your breaker box as most have some way to put a lock on them.

The only thing is that it would have a 30min-40min run time depending on how much power it takes to run your devices. Honestly you would have enough time given that your security devices would alert you to give a rapid response calling authorities and getting to your home as quickly as possible.

When power is lost or you have a power surge it will be protect your equipment and will give you up to two hours of continued use! I recommend one for your tv equipment and a separate one for your computer and internet system!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your equipment is plugged in then it would have no supply and everything would turn off. Thus your camera would be unable to record. I have this same issue with an ex shappy. I solved the problem by using a large usb power supply and having a back up as card. I actually had a hidden security camera that looked like a smoke detector. It had a sd card and was chargeable. Always have a back up source so thief” thinks they have gotten away with it. The shappy will always come back if they think they are getting away with it and you’re just blowing smoke. Keep recording and when you have had enough take all your sd cards & call the PD. DS will then know you had his number the whole time.

Please try again later.A UPS is not a power generator that automatically kicks on and keeps uninterrupted power to your electrical devices until it runs out of fuel since it is limited to using just the battery that it has to power what is connected to it. Once the battery is drained it can no longer supply power for your electrical needs. Anything that you have on the battery protected side of the UPS will still operate until the battery is drained (~10% of power remaining). As long as you have the cable modem/router and the camera system on the battery side of the UPS they will remain powered, for a short time. How long they will remain powered would depend on the amount of power drain that is being placed on the UPS. You will retain longer uptime on the modem/router and camera system by having only those devices connected to the battery side of the UPS and nothing else. I do not know how much power drain these devices place on the UPS, but I would venture to guess that would have ~15 - 20 minutes of uptime on these devices after the power is interrupted using this UPS. Hopefully that would be enough time to record any actions that you need recorded to capture the people involved.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes our UPSs would provide a battery backup during a power outage. When the breaker is flipped the UPS would just see it as a power outage. However just note the runtime of the UPS would depend on how much power the connected equipment draws. If the power draw is higher the runtime will be lower and if the power draw is lower than it would be higher.
