The biggest iPad you can get is the 12.9" iPad Pro. It can connect to a 2014 or newer Mac Device (I.e. an iMac or MacBook Pro) wirelessly as a second display. It can connect to all computers via a USB cable (which cable depends on which iPad you get and which computer you're connecting to) but that will only allow you to transfer pictures that I'm aware of. If you get a model that has "Cellular" on it, you can connect it to Verizon on your end if you make sure you select the model that says "Verizon" on it when you purchase it. You can connect the iPad Pro models to a monitor of any size via the USB C cable. You would need to buy a USB C to HDMI cable (or whichever port your monitor supports).
