Both of these models are the 'older' versions (meaning they came out in 2017) and both have the A10X processor. The only difference is the MPF02LL/A model uses a WI-FI connection to access online apps, updates, the Apple website, etc while the MPDY2LL/A uses a mobile carrier (AT&T, Sprint, etc). If you do not need constant access to the internet then the WI-Fi version is the best for you since the mobile carriers do charge you a monthly fee.
