It will vary with use. I have a 2012 iPad Mini that is still doing everything it used to do, in the middle of 2018. I will replace it with a newer iPad, soon, because there are some apps I'd like to use which I can't because they are newer things which require a newer ios. The first generation iPad Mini can only go up to ios 9.3.5. Some of the newer apps I'd like to use require ios 11. If you use your iPad 5 times more than I used mine, it may last one fifth as long as mine did. If you are less careful than I have been-I never drop it, etc- yours won't last as long as mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The iPad 10.5 would be a significant upgrade from the iPad Air. You will definitely notice a difference.
