If you mean can you add a microSD card for extra storage like you can on some Android devices, no you cannot. So it's best to purchase the iPad with enough storage for your intended use. But Apple did add the ability to connect external USB devices to this iPad's USB-C port when iPadOS 13 was released in Sep 2019. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206481 "If you're on iPadOS, you can access files on a USB drive, SD card, or hard drive through the Files app on iPadOS. Just connect the drive, and then you can select it under Locations."
