• Not exactly. The open box item's warranty clcck starts ticking the date of the ORIGINAL purchase, NOT when the open box item is purchased. That clock also starts the 60 day window to purchase Apple Care. If the original buyer bought the item 61 days ago, you just lost 2 months on the warranty and can't buy Apple Care. Buyer Beware!

• No the Open box product doesn't come with apple care unless you purchase it at the register of best buy. But you can purchase apple care for Open box items which I did for my ipad which is an open-box item.
