My iMac has a 1TB Fusion Drive. A fusion Drive is a combination of a solid-state drive (SSD) and a traditional rotating media drive. You get the random access speed of an SSD for the computer to cache and access quickly along with the low-cost bulk storage of a traditional rotating drive. I believe my Mac has 256GB of SSD and the balance (about 750GB) is rotating media.
